LSU Health New Orleans Infectious Diseases faculty professor Michael Hagensee, MD, PhD, will present. Dr. Hagensee has experience in diagnosing and treating monkeypox infections and has conducted research on poxvirus vectors. By the end of his lecture, attendees will know the diseases caused by the Orthopoxvirus group, the unique clinical presentation of the recent monkeypox outbreak and how to prevent and treat monkeypox.
